My First 100 Days as Mayor

My first 100 days will be about listening, reviewing the facts, and getting the basics right. I want to understand exactly where Lakeshore stands, make sure taxpayers are getting value, and start building a stronger commercial and industrial tax base so we can create more local jobs and reduce pressure on residential taxpayers.

1. Review the Numbers and Major Projects

I will begin with a full review of Lakeshore’s finances, major capital projects, infrastructure commitments and timelines. Before we take on more, we need to understand what is already committed, what it will cost taxpayers, and whether projects are being done in the right order.

2.Meet With Businesses and Major Employers

I will meet with existing businesses and major employers to understand what they need to grow, expand and create more jobs. I will also work to attract new commercial and industrial investment so Lakeshore can build a stronger tax base and create more good-paying local jobs.

3. Review Infastructure Priorities

I will review our roads, water, wastewater, drainage and other infrastructure priorities to make sure we are fixing the right problems in the right order. Growth has to match the capacity of our infrastructure, and we need to avoid putting unnecessary costs on taxpayers.

4.Improve Transparency and Accountability

I will push for clearer public reporting on major projects, spending and timelines so residents can see what is being done, what it is costing and whether we are staying on track. Accountability starts with making information easier to understand and easier to find.

5. Listen to residents and Every Community

I will make time to meet with residents across Lakeshore and hear directly about the issues affecting their neighbourhoods. Good decisions start with listening, understanding local concerns and making sure every part of Lakeshore has a voice.

My goal in the first 100 days is simple: understand the facts, set the right priorities, and start building a stronger foundation for Lakeshore. Stronger before bigger.

Lakeshore needs affordable housing, but housing and jobs need to grow together. Adding homes without enough local jobs puts more pressure on our roads, water, wastewater and services.

We need to attract more commercial and industrial investment, create good-paying local jobs and strengthen our tax base.

More business. More jobs.
